He was one of three Chinese astronauts aboard the Shenzhou-16 spaceship which docked safely at the Tiangong space station less than seven hours after lauching this morning. Dozens of employees celebrated as the vessel blasted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The astronauts will be taking over from the Shenzhou-15 crew and will live in space for the next six months. The trio includes China’s first civilian astronauts, a university professor who will serve as a payload specialist. Now china wants to land its astronauts on the moon before 2030 and is expanding its space orbiting system. It completed the three module Tiangong last year and plans to keep it permanently occupied for at least a decade.
